EVENT SALES MANAGER

Job Summary:

Responsible for the sales process which includes booking events, coordinating event details with internal departments and outside vendors, developing event costs with clients, meeting deadlines and providing exemplary customer service.

 

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage sales efforts by ensuring all clients are contacted within 24 hours of receipt of inquiries to secure the business.

  • Generate leads and converts prospects into clients.

  • Communicate with event stakeholders to gain an understanding of the event's purpose and goals

  • Outline the scope of the event: including time, date, location and budget

  • Plan layout of seating – setup of room(s)

  • Confirm headcount and menu at least 10 days prior to the event

  • Coordinate additional event needs

  • Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, and pre- and post-event evaluations.

  • Communicate all budget, space and vendor progress with the clients

  • Communicate any problems that arise in an upfront manner with the client

  • Maintain communication with any outside vendors contracted for the event

  • Prepare and execute a detailed outline of the event needs

  • Collaborate with day-of-event personnel to ensure staffing levels are adequate in preparation of the event and for the event to run efficiently.

  • Follow-up with the client to obtain feedback and to discuss re-booking opportunities.

  • Coordinate event billing transactions.

  • Provide a concise and easy transition with the client to the Event Liaison at least one the week prior to the event

  • Work with marketing to create sales collateral and marketing plan

  • Work with third-party companies to increase brand awareness and form partnerships to increase referrals and bookings.

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

EVENT LIAISON

Job Summary:

Private events at Speedway Indoor Karting can include receptions, corporate events, events and private parties. As the Event Liaison, your primary responsibility will be to create a professional and welcoming environment for all events held at SIK. You will be the main and only point of contact for clients during the event and will manage the event and all event personnel for the entirety of the event including setup and teardown.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Successfully interacts and serves as point-of-contact for clients, vendors and guests to ensure excellent and high-quality guest experiences.

  • Is the only point of contact during the event for guests – coordinates and communicates needs and questions to applicable managers/staff on duty.

  • Maintains a welcoming environment and demeanor while servicing guests in person, on the phone or via email

  • Contacts Client prior to the event for an introduction and to confirm all event details

  • Actively engage and respond promptly to venue clients, vendors and guests along with communicating their concerns to the Event Sales Manager or others in upper management.

  • Oversees set up, tear down and cleanup of event spaces

  • Sets up the event per the client’s specification and maintains event spaces throughout the event

  • Ensures total compliance with the contracts, rules and regulations

  • Effectively anticipate and respond promptly to the needs of all guests and vendors

  • Responsible for executing the event and securing the event spaces at the end of events

  • Supports the event staff through administrative services and office coordination

  • Maintain knowledge of SIK/1911 programs and events to better serve guests

  • Manages multiple short-term and long-term priorities in an effective and organized manner in the execution of successful events.

  • Must be dependable, able to work independently and able to handles issues and problems that occur during events in a timely and professional manner

  • Successfully communicates with a diverse group of stakeholders, visitors and patrons

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Events and Venue Manager

Assistant Manager

Job Summary:

The assistant manager provides assistance to the manager to help keep the company running smoothly by overseeing assigned tasks and acting in the role of a manager in the manager’s absence.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Opening or closing the facility

  • Providing direct assistance to staff

  • Providing assistance to guests as needed

  • Working in a customer facing role and dealing with incidents to prevent escalation

  • Giving shift reports to managers

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations 

  • Providing direct feedback to staff 

  • Conducting interviews and hiring new staff

  • Making sure the facility is running smoothly 

Track TEAM LEAD

Job Summary:

Track leaders are the ones in charge of the track marshals on the shifts they are scheduled.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting track marshals with any issues or questions.

  • Contacting an assistant manager or manager on duty with issues.

  • Providing excellent customer service to all our guests.

  • Interacting with kids, parents, companies and more.

  • Ensuring that all our customers have a fun and safe experience.

  • Performing all pre-race safety checks.

  • Respond to all on track incidents in a safe and quick manner.

  • Be knowledgeable about the karts and tracks.

  • Enforce facility rules and regulations.

  • Complete all required checklists and cleaning duties as required. 

Track Marshal

Job Summary:

Track Marshals contribute to enjoyable, efficient and safe go kart racing. They are responsible for the safety of competitors and are stationed at various points around race tracks to assist them in case of any collisions, accidents or track problems.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to all our guests.

  • Interacting with kids, parents, companies and more.

  • Ensuring that all our customers have a fun and safe experience.

  • Performing all pre-race safety checks.

  • Respond to all on track incidents in a safe and quick manner.

  • Be knowledgeable about the karts and tracks.

  • Enforce facility rules and regulations.

  • Complete all required checklists and cleaning duties as required. 

POINT OF SALE Associate

Job Summary:

A POS associate is the front line worker in retail. Also known as a "point of sale" associate or cashier, the role involves much more than taking money from customers. Point of Sale Associates are responsible for ensuring visitors have a positive experience and for supporting the company initiatives as instructed.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing excellent customer service to all our guests - you will be the first person they interact with and the first impression of our company. 

  • Interacting with kids, parents, companies and more.

  • Ensuring that all our customers have a fun and safe experience.

  • Checking in guests and helping them choose the experience best for them.

  • Answer all calls and questions from guests.

  • Be knowledgeable about the karts and tracks.

  • Enforce facility rules and regulations.

  • Complete all required checklists and cleaning duties as required. 

MECHANIC

Job Summary:

The mechanic will be in charge of making sure the go-karts are well maintained and we have a parts inventory for anything we may need for future issues. They will need to perform routine maintenance on the karts, create checklists and maintenance sheets for what needs to be maintained and when maintenance is needed.

MECHANIC assistant

Job Summary:

The mechanic assistant will be in charge of making sure the karts are cleaned, tire pressures set and help with maintenance on the karts.
